On May 3rd, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) conducted their unannounced brake day inspection. The goal of CVSA's brake day is to reduce the number of accidents each year due to poorly maintained brakes on trucks. The inspections identify and remove trucks with critical brake violations from the roadway. Since the program inception, the number of brakes inspected amounts to over 3.4 million.
