Navistar Announce Alliance with Volkswagen Truck & Bus

On September 6th, 2016, Navistar International Corporation announced a new strategic alliance with Volkswagen Truck & Bus. This new partnership includes an equity investment by Volkswagen Truck & Bus into Navistar, as well as agreements for supply and strategic technology collaborations and a procurement joint venture.

As a result, Navistar will now be able to offer customers expanded access to more advanced products and services through technological collaborations and the supply and licensing of Volkswagen Truck & Bus's products. Additionally, this alliance strengthens Navistar's liquidity position while the procurement joint venture is expected to leverage the buying power of Volkswagen Truck & Bus's major truck brands: Scania, MAN, and Caminhões e ÔniBus as well as Navistar's own International® and IC Bus brands.
